Quiet Creek and Strawberry Creek inns Manager Marc Kassouf was awarded General Manager of the Year (small property) by the California Hotel and Lodging Association at Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

The Outstanding General Manager of the Year award honors a hotelier who has demonstrated superior professionalism in operating a CH&LA or California Bed & Breakfast member property, and taken a leadership role in the industry by actively participating in association, community or industry programs.
“On behalf of the entire family of us working at the STAY Idyllwild group of inns, Quiet Creek Inn and Strawberry Creek Inn, I’m elated to receive this award from the distinguished CH&LA independent awards committee and members,” said Kassouf. This was the CH&LA’s 125th-anniversary celebration combined with its annual Meeting and Stars of the Industry Luncheon. Kassouf beat out managers at the Sonoma Valley Inn and the Tamarack Beach Resort for the coveted award. “Having been chosen as Outstanding General Manager of the year for the state of California (small property) alongside the winner from the Omni San Francisco is a big deal: I’m very happy to represent all of Idyllwild and our inns as winning up against other much larger destinations, and distinguished inns and hotels of all sizes,” Kassouf added.
