George

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats discussed Nala, the new ARF dog.
Thomas: Any news about Nala, the German shepherd?
Mr. Gray: Yes! Nala had surgery to correct her broken leg and to remove a split tooth. She is doing very well.
George: When will she find a forever home?
Bear: Well, I heard in a couple of weeks she will be ready to join a forever family, but whoever adopts her will have to be very special.
Thomas: Why is that?
Bear: She will probably have a bit of a limp, and because she is just such a wonderful dog. She deserves a special family.
Sadie: I heard Nala is very good with other dogs.
Heavenly Whiskers: And I heard there is another ARF dog, Yale.
Sadie: Yale is a shepherd-mix and so very affectionate.
George: Yale is about 7 or 8 years old, we think. He is very good with other dogs.
Sadie: I hope ARF finds homes for them very, very soon.
Mr. Gray: Oh! And did you hear that Indigo is back with us?
Sadie: Indie was in a very nice home, but the other cat there wasn’t happy with his presence, and poor Indie was very stressed. ARF thinks Indie needs to be the only cat in his home.
Indigo: Hi, guys. It’s good to be back, although I really enjoyed having my own human for a while.
Sadie: You were gone for a few months, so I guess you really gave it a good try.
Indie: My human and I really did, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
Sadie: Welcome back, Indigo.
