Just after noon Tuesday, April 9, Cal Fire and U.S. Forest Service and firefighters and aircraft responded to a report of a vegetation fire near Ribbonwood and Sky View Drives in the Piñyon area.
A motor home caught fire and ignited the surrounding vegetation. By 1 p.m., the fire was estimated to be less than one acre.
There were no injuries and the fire was contained within an hour.
The Incident Commander was Cal Fire Battalion Chief Bill Lawe.
