On Wednesday, March 27, Scott Shere, 57, of Pine Cove, was to appear in Riverside County Superior Court for a hearing on the criminal charges regarding the threats to and extortion of the Pine Cove Water District.
He failed to appear for the arraignment. Judge Stephen Gallon revoked his $125,000 bail and issued a bench warrant for his arrest, which occurred Thursday, March 28.
On Tuesday, April 2, Shere was arraigned and a felony settlement conference was scheduled for April 10. He has remained in custody as of press time.
