Just after noon Tuesday, April 9, the U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fire firefighters and aircraft responded to a report of a vegetation fire near Ribbonwood Drive and Highway 74 in the Pinyon area.
A motorhome caught fire, igniting the surrounding vegetation. Shortly after 1 p.m., the fire, which was estimated to be 1 acre, was contained. By evening, it was extinguished.
