Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats celebrated Alfie’s adoption.
George: Dog in the house! Dog in the house!
Thomas: Here we go again with the revolving dog door.
George: Patience, Thomas, patience. ARF cats will eventually find their forever homes.
Minnie: (bouncing into the cattery) Hellooooooooooo! I’m Minnie, and I’m guessing you’re the ARF cats.
Sadie: We are. Who are you?
Minnie: I’m the newest ARF dog, Minnie.
Sadie: Welcome. Tell us about yourself.
Minnie: I was found abandoned on a highway in the desert, but I’m OK. I’m pretty young, maybe 12 months, and my foster says I’m a great dog.
Mr. Gray: OK, what makes you so great?
Minnie: Well, I’m house trained, about 25 pounds, and I get along very well with other dogs and chickens.
Indie: Did you say chickens?
Minnie: Yep, chickens. And I really like to play fetch with any toy. My foster is very impressed because I always bring back the toy to be thrown again.
Indie: You must be a smart girl.
Minnie: My foster thinks I am, and I must agree!
Sadie: How are you with children?
Minnie: I really like kids, especially when they play with me. I love to play.
Heavenly Whiskers: (aside to Thomas) I’m guessing she won’t be around very long. She will be adopted quickly, yes?
Thomas: I bet she will. The revolving door is warming up!
