In the early morning hours of Monday, three burglaries occurred in downtown Idyllwild. Two of the businesses were auto mechanic, Idyllwild Automotive and Idyllwild Garage, and the third was Village Market, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Officer Jeremy Parsons.
Parsons said no cash was taken but a customer’s car, a maroon 1999 Subaru Legacy, was taken from Idyllwild Automotive, along with many tools. He said most of those tools have been recovered from an area where “they were ditched.”
A lot of cigarettes were taken from Village Market.
Parsons said all of the burglaries were related and the Sheriff’s Department is analyzing video surveillance from all three businesses. If anyone has any information on the burglaries, they are asked to call the Hemet Station at 951-791-3400.
