Mr. Gray

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” two dogs were welcomed to ARF.

Zeus: Again. It has happened again.
Heavenly Whiskers: You had too much catnip last night?
Zeus: Haha. Very funny. The two little dogs, Ryder and Zooma, have already found their forever homes.
Heavenly Whiskers: That’s awesome. Good for them. I heard there is a new cat.
Sadie: Yep. His name is Sox. I’ve heard he is SUPER friendly to humans.
Pepper: I’ve also heard that he just might become our new office cat.
Mr. Gray: Wow! The new guy in charge of the office?
Zeus: I guess it’s because he is so friendly to humans right off the bat.
Sadie: We’re friendly, too. It just takes us a bit longer.
Sox: (entering cattery) Hello fellow ARF cats! I’m Sox, and I’m very happy to be here. I’m a young boy, about 2 or 3 years, and I really hope I find my forever home quickly.
Pepper: We’re happy to meet you, Sox.
Zeus: So there has been lots of good news, but I have some not-so-good news to share about George.
Thomas: George? What’s wrong with George?
Zeus: Poor George is ill. He has lost a lot of weight and is having difficulty with his liver and kidneys.
Sadie: Oh no! What are the ARF humans doing for him?
Zeus: Vet and hospital visits, special food, lots of frequent testing, and of course, tons of love and attention.
Thomas: I bet this costs a lot of money.
Zeus: It does, but George is worth it.
Sadie: You bet he is. I hear the ARF humans have to take him for lots of trips down the hill.
Zeus: I hope some ARF angels step up to help. Both George and ARF could use it now.
