The Idyllwild Mountain Quilters is holding its 16th-annual quilt show at Buckhorn Camp Oct. 12 and 13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $8, but children under 16 years old and husbands are free. The theme for this year is “Deer Idy.”

The two quilts created and donated to the Friends of the Idyllwild Library by the Mountain Quilters encompass reading and the literary world with amazing detail and color. These works of art will be displayed along with over 100 other quilts ranging from vintage to modern, appliqué, scrappy and more. Certain quilts will be awarded to veterans to show appreciation for their service.

Multiple door prizes will be given out throughout the event. Themed gift baskets will be won by those who participate. In the mercantile section of the event, finished quilts and gift items made by Mountain Quilter members will be available for purchase. A large selection of fabrics and quilt related items will also be for sale at very reasonable prices. Come out and support your local Mountain Quilters this weekend at Buckhorn Camp, 24641 Highway 243.
