Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats welcomed two new cats, Lulu and Flora.
Zeus: Has anyone peeked into the kittenry to see if Flora had her babies?
Bear: I did, and no babies, but Flora is very large. I suspect she is due any day now.
Zeus: And how is Lulu doing?
Lulu: I’m doing very well, Zeus. Thanks for asking.
Whiskers: Are you feeling at home here?
Lulu: I am! It is very peaceful here. I have a comfortable bed all to myself.
Whiskers: Have you met Flora? We expect her to deliver her kittens probably this week.
Lulu: I cannot wait to see kittens. They are so much fun.
Pepper: Once the kittens are a few weeks old, they will be able to have visitors.
Sadie: And will the visitors be able to turn in adoption applications and deposits?
Pepper: They certainly will!
Flora: I think humans may also put in applications to adopt me, once my babies are weaned and ready for adoption.
Pepper: And I think you’ll be adopted quickly.
Zeus: Kind of like Sparky?
Flora: Who is Sparky?
Lulu: He was the last office cat. Now I have the job.
Bear: And Sparky was very friendly, kind of like both of you, Lulu and Flora.
Lulu: I hope this means we will be adopted quickly. I really want a forever home soon.
Zeus: We all do!
Whiskers: Now we just need to wait for the right humans to come along.
