Zeus

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats discussed the one last kitten awaiting adoption.

Zeus: This July 4th was quieter than those in the past.

Bear:  With no parade this year it just didn’t seem the same.

Lulu:  But I think humans still enjoyed the holiday, in a safe way of course.

Whiskers: The good news is the remaining kitten was adopted last week.

Zeus: Then it should be very, very quiet here in the ARF House with just us adult cats.

Whiskers: But the quiet makes it a very good time for humans to meet us.

Lulu: True! Everything is so relaxed that we are also relaxed.

Whiskers: And that makes it the perfect situation to meet us.

Sadie: Since many humans still have lots of time on their hands, they are able to spend time getting to know us.

Pepper: Humans who do this will learn that I am friendly, but on my terms. I don’t like to have humans stick their hands into my face.

Zeus: And they will learn that when I get comfortable around visitors, I will climb onto a lap for a good petting session.

Lulu: Yes, I’m shy, but I really do like attention. I just need a chance!

Sadie: As for me? I am just a friendly gal who wants love, attention and a welcoming lap.

Bear: I’m with Lulu. I’m shy and need time to become comfortable with visiting humans. But look at me! I’m gorgeous and worth the wait.

Heavenly Whiskers: I am pretty certain that any human who makes a four-legged part of the family will be so glad he did, and maybe that special pet will be me.
