Heavenly Whiskers

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats noticed the quiet cattery since the kittens had all been adopted.

Zeus: Well, the kitten-free quiet ended quickly.

Bear: No kidding! Last Thursday we took in five more kittens.

Lulu: I welcome the entertainment and liveliness they bring.

Whiskers: But all five were adopted within a few days.

Zeus: Good grief! I didn’t have any time to get to know them.

Whiskers: Know them? I didn’t even see them!

Pepper: How fun and exciting for both the kittens and the families that now have new fur babies.

Sadie: In addition to all of the love adopted kittens bring, I bet the humans appreciate the basics that come with ARF adoptions.

Pepper: That’s right. When they adopt any dog, cat, puppy or kitten, everything needed is included in the adoption fee.

Zeus: Such as?

Pepper: All vaccinations, spay or neuter, tests and microchipping for the dogs.

Sadie: That is a really good deal.

Bear: Got that right, Sadie. If the human took the dog or cat to a veterinarian, the cost would be much greater than the adoption fee.

Heavenly Whiskers: And the best part is that the human has saved an innocent pet’s life. What could be more fulfilling than that?

Sadie: You know, that is the true bargain with adoption. Humans get a loyal, faithful companion, save an innocent life and all at a great price!
