Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats learned how adopted pets are beneficial for the whole family.
Pepper: I have some surprise and some not-such-a-surprise news!
Lulu: Let’s hear it!
Pepper: ARF’s new dog Benny has been adopted.
Whiskers: I’m so not surprised. He is adorable.
Pepper: And the other news did surprise ARF humans. When Holly, one of the new ARF dogs went to the vet, she was confirmed pregnant. Very pregnant.
Whiskers: Wow. Has she had the puppies?
Pepper: She had them sooner than anyone had anticipated! She had a bunch-o-babies last Wednesday.
Lulu: How exciting! When may we meet them? I just love puppies and kittens.
Pepper: Oh, we won’t meet them for a little while. They are in the arms of a caring foster who is helping to feed them since Holly seems a bit overwhelmed.
Lulu: So, we have kittens, puppies, Holly and sweet Buddy.
Pepper: Correct! All of the puppies are way too young to meet the public but I’m guessing the kittens are ready to meet potential forever families. It will be about three or four weeks for the puppies.
Lulu: That’s right! ARF is now letting potential forever families meet the kittens and submit applications with deposits.
Pepper: When may they do that?
Lulu: Folks may call for an appointment or stop by the ARF House on the weekends.
Pepper: I heard that one kitten is already spoken for. I bet the rest will go quickly.
Lulu: Without doubt! They are so playful and cute.
Whiskers: How about some kitten photos?
Lulu: Portraits are scheduled for this week.
Pepper: You mean like a real photo shoot?
Lulu: Only the best for ARF pets!
