Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats celebrated the puppies’ adoptions.
Holly: Did everyone have a good week? Who celebrated the season?
Willow: I think we all did, and lucky for us, we are at ARF where we stayed warm during the snowstorm.
Holly: And now we should be making our New Year’s resolutions.
Pepper: Yes! I’ll start. On my resolutions’ list, I have promised to work on new stretches. You know we cats must stretch frequently.
Holly: I resolve to take more naps.
Willow: Oooh, that’s a good one, Holly. I resolve to take good inventory of all the squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits that hang around the catio.
Whiskers: You go out into the catio, but I’ll stay inside where it’s warm!
Pepper: The ARF humans won’t let you out there in the snow, Willow.
Willow: Then I’ll just use the windows.
Sadie: I promise to wow all potential adopters who enter the ARF House.
Holly: So do I! And I vow to keep the two desks in the office clean and clear.
Lulu: How do you plan to do that?
Holly: Easy! I’ll just get onto the desks and spread out!
Pepper: I resolve to perfect my grooming, risking hairballs and all.
Lulu: I think I’ll enjoy more catnip in 2021.
Pepper: I’ll help you, Lulu. Ha!
Whiskers: I think we all have our work cut out for us in 2021. At least we don’t have to wear face masks.
Lulu: But I think I speak for all of us when I say we are so glad ARF humans and all visitors wear them.
Sadie: That’s right, Lulu. We need all ARF humans to stay healthy and able to care for us.
Holly: And we need to be at hand to offer support and love. It’s what we do best!
