Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the cats welcomed two new cats to the cattery.
Pepper: Woo hoo! We have another new feline joining us!
Whiskers: In addition to Stevie and Shorty?
Pepper: Right. Oh, and here she is now.
Miss Kitty: (Sashaying into the room) Well, hello ladies and gentlemen. I’m Miss Kitty, and I guess this is my new temporary home.
Pepper: Welcome, Miss Kitty. I think you’ll be happy here while you wait for your new forever home.
Stevie: You may wait with Shorty and me. We’re hoping to find our forever homes soon.
Shorty: How old are you Miss Kitty?
Miss Kitty: I am a healthy adult. Let’s just say I’m between 5 and 8 years old.
Stevie: I’ve heard that you are very friendly with humans.
Miss Kitty: You heard right, Stevie. I really like humans and their warm laps.
Stevie: Hopefully, lots of people will call ARF soon to make appointments to meet us.
Lulu: That would be so nice for all of us.
Stevie: We just want a chance to impress visitors.
Lulu: If we make good impressions, we just might find our perfect families.
Pepper: We would be happy, and the people would be happy. It’s a win-win!
