Forest gardening wizard Peter Kindfield at Idyllwild Community Garden

Renown Idyllwild forest garden expert Peter Kindfield will teach three classes over three Saturdays in August from 9 to 10 a.m. beginning this Saturday, Aug. 7. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to learn how to ‘Garden Like the Forest.”
Topics will include the composition of healthy soil, how forests recycle nutrients through interactive webs, composting basics, vermiculture (adding worms to the mix), brewing aerobic compost tea and much more.
Kindfield will teach several classes themed “Gardening Like A Forest” with emphasis on soil building. His classes will be held Aug. 7, 14 and 21.

The Community Garden and Education Center is located at the corner of Alderwood and North Circle Drive.
