Idyllwild Actors Theatre is thrilled to be back in production after the long Covid hiatus. The upcoming play “SLOW FOOD,” a comedy by Wendy Mac-Leod, is coming to The Rustic Theatre and Entertainment Center, 54290 N. Circle Dr., Idyllwild, Aug. 6 and 7. Doors open at 7 p.m. and curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments are for sale before and after the show.
The Dramatists Play Service writes of the play: “A vacationing couple celebrates their anniversary at a Greek restaurant in Palm Springs — but will the marriage survive the service? As a needy waiter insinuates his way into their meal — and their lives — the couple examines their past and their future together. Playwright Wendy MacLeod brings us a tender comedy that delves deeply into what we hunger for.”
The play stars Jacob Teel, Jeri Greene and Jerry Prager and is directed by Suzanne Avalon.
General seating is $20. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.idyllwildactorstheatre.com.
