Christmas trees may be dropped off at a Riverside County landfill at no cost until Saturday, Jan. 8. Each Riverside County household can bring up to three trees, including flocked trees. Green waste rates will apply to commercial, out-of-county or loads of more than three trees.
Several drop-off locations will accept up to three residential Christmas trees for free. The closest ones to Idyllwild are:
• B P John Recycling, 28700 Matthews Road, Romoland
• Riverside County Badlands Landfill, 31125 Ironwood Ave., Moreno Valley
• Riverside County Lamb Canyon Landfill, 16411 Lamb Canyon Road, Beaumont
