Ferro presents summer series of performances

Idyllwild hot spot Ferro Restaurant, already known as the home of weekly Jazz Nights with the Ferro Jazz Trio featuring Paul Carman, Barnaby Finch and Marshall Hawkins, invites guests to enjoy a special summer series of performances from Aug. 2 through Labor Day Weekend.

Access to the performances, and cocktails on the patio, are available without reservations or cover charge. Restaurant goers are encouraged to make a reservation or accommodations may not be available. Visit www.opentable.com/r/ferro-idyllwild or call (951) 659-0700 for reservations.

Featured artists include the aforementioned Ferro Jazz Trio; and blues and soul artists Chuck Alvarez, Barry Bauhn, Deana Bogart, Wayne Cameron, Greg Jones and Tony Pattler.

Also featured will be jazz vocalists Robin Adler, Yve Evans and Sherry Williams; and renowned Los Angeles-based saxophonist Kirsten Edkins. Locals will look forward to the return of bluegrass/newgrass ensemble Jazzgrass, featuring Idyllwild favorite Lily McCabe who will play with Jazzgrass Saturdays, and some Monday performances with the Lily McCabe Trio, and her duo Wilderland with Wayne Cameron, formerly known as Swift Pony.

The line-up is:

• Ferro Jazz Trio, Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m.

• Blues and soul nights, Fridays, 7-10 p.m.

• Jazzgrass, Saturdays, 7-10 p.m.

• Women in jazz, Sundays, 2-5 p.m.

• Lily McCabe nights, Mondays, 6-9 p.m.
