Deputies recover deceased male

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies were in the area north of Pine Cove and Stonewood since 10:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26, searching for a suicidal person.
Family members and deputies located the adult male subject deceased at 4:14 p.m. on a cliff off of Highway 243 and Stonewood Canyon Road, said Lt. Brandi Swan, a sheriff’s public information officer. The deputies and Cal Fire remained in the area until about 7:30 p.m. recovering the individual.
