Last night, Jan. 10, retired Crest Forest Fire Chief Mike Sherman agreed to become the interim Fire Chief for the Idyllwild Fire Protection District. He agreed to contract terms during the regular January commission meeting and the signed the contract after the meeting.
State issues water reduction rules
On Saturday, the State Water Resources Control Board released proposed regulations for implementing Gov. Jerry Brown’s 25-percent conservation standard mandated by his April 7 Executive Order.
