According to one of the workers, the timeframe for completion of the new bridge at Strawberry Creek on Highway 74 is about August of this year, depending on weather and any potential complications. A lot of factors go into that completion date.

The bridge will be wider. It was initially 11 feet total and now it will be 12 feet plus between 1 and 2 feet on each side.

Construction is scheduled to continue five days a week, eight hours a day, although sometimes the workers stretch the workday a little farther.

Depending on the work being done, there can be as little as three but upward of a dozen people working.

Initial cost was scheduled for $22 million for the project, but that could go over depending on many factors.

Lastly, the worker complained that numerous folk run the temporary red light and endanger others with their actions.
