Ask Spiritual Workout
Dear Spiritual Workout:
I know that you like to use tapping in SW and I have been experimenting with it for a few weeks. I think I’m getting a handle on it, I am beginning to sense some changes, good ones, but my question is will I have to tap every day for the rest of my life? It just seems like there’s always more.
Dear Reader:
Well, that question could ONLY come from someone who has been putting this tonic-like modality into practice.“Sensing changes” is evidence that you’re tapping effectively so, for sure, keep going! As for tapping for the rest of your life, everyone asks that question. If you’re new to it, you’re likely letting go of a lot of energies that have been living, stagnating, in your system, for some time. That’s average/normal. Move some of that energy and it reveals more and on and on it goes until it’s done. Then it’s about maintenance, which means processing Life as it happens. You have a near-miss accident on the way to work, you’re flustered, you get to that early meeting, you work all day. But later you process that experience. You talk and tap it out, so to speak, and it does not take residence in your system. You don’t amass unprocessed energy anymore so, no, you will not have to tap every day for the rest of your life.
Dear Spiritual Workout:
How long are we supposed to wait after we set an intention?
Dear Reader:
That is one pithy, loaded question! First up, our intention-setting process teaches that how and when the things we intend for ourselves are made manifest is the purview of our co-creative partner, The Universe/Source/Creator/All That Is, not us. (I don’t make the rules.) Thus, urgency is not our friend when we are setting intentions. Neither is waiting. Waiting implies something akin to “it’s not happening” and that belief, again, can put the brakes on the process. If you’ve ever heard “ask and it is given,” it applies here. The idea is that our desires are heard and responded to, out there in the ethers, and come into form according to divine timing, not our calendars. These are some basic mechanics of intention-setting Spiritual Workout-style. I’d love to share more.
Dear Spiritual Workout:
I’m having an issue with trust right now. I am about to invest some serious time and energy in a project I love but am not sure I can trust one or two members of the expanding team. Any ideas about what I should do?
Dear Reader:
Yes! Idea number one, generally speaking, is that when it comes to trust, best SW practice is to focus on ourselves by listening to our own inspiration/gut/intuition — and trusting THAT. It’s a skill we develop, gaining more and more mastery over time. So, I’m curious about where you are on that spectrum and, thus, idea number two, I wonder: Is the issue you’re having right now your intuition speaking with a clear message or are you more in a place of fear or something like it? Can you tell?
