The Hemet Unified School District board approved allocations for the Common Core State Standard’s funding on Tuesday, Nov. 19. HUSD will receive about $4.5 million this fiscal year and next year to prepare and implement the new approach. Each district school will receive a portion of the monies. In November 2021, Andrew “Andy” Smith of Idyllwild has received the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance (NWSA) Agency Partnership Award.
