The country of China was the first in a series of countries presented to youngsters at the Idyllwild Library Summer Program. The arresting charges included several felonies, but the Riverside County district attorney filed only a misdemeanor charge of stolen property (Penal Code 496 (A)). Idyllwild School closed at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, due to the hazardous weather conditions. The northern entrance to the mountain communities on Highway 243 is being closed now at Westley Road in Banning, due to flash flooding and slides.
