By

According to CHP Officer Chris Blondon, Friday afternoon about 5 p.m., Timothy Jay Lund, 19, of Hemet was traveling southbound on Highway 243 near Mile Marker 0.25 when he lost control flipping his Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL, landing on it’s roof tossing beer cans and other debris onto the highway. Three passengers were also in the vehicle. The 17-year-old female was transported to a nearby hospital complaining of neck pain. The other two passengers refused medical transport and were picked up by family. Lund was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and for underage drinking. Highway 243 was down to one-lane traffic for about an hour as the scene was processed and cleared. Photos by Jenny Kirchner
