Do you need a new best friend? Then I might be just what you’re looking for! My name is Riley. I am a 3-year-old Shepherd mix who is looking for her forever home.

I love to play and am very smart! I have a ton of energy, am independent minded but still want to please you. I would love to do fun stuff like agility training or hiking and I love to swim. I really like learning tricks. I can shake paws, play dead, roll over and speak.

Riley

I walk nicely on a leash. Right now I am working with a trainer on my obedience skills and manners, but it’s OK. I think training is really fun. After all that fun, I really love to curl up on the couch with my favorite human. I’ve been told I’m loving and loyal, but I don’t want to boast.

I am housebroken and am happy to be left home for short periods of time. I would prefer to live in a calm environment, such as a home without other dogs, cats or young children. I am spayed and have all my shots. If you can give me the love and attention I need, give ARF a call. I can’t wait to meet you.

If you would like to meet Riley, call (951) 659-1122 to set up an appointment.

Paws up to Charlie, our orange tabby. Charlie, was abandoned over a year ago on the ARF porch, and now will bring a daily smile to his forever humans. Stop by this weekend to visit or walk Gus, the Rottweiler, Chip, the shepherd mix, and Annie, the Chihuahua/min pin. Let’s not forget Hobo, the Aussie/chow mix, and Duke, the blond chow chow. And Opie, the Maine coon mix waits patiently near the door hoping that a feline lover will scoop him up.

ARF has several cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.idyllwildarf.org and click on Petfinder. All pets are current on shots and are spayed or neutered.

ARF is open on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call for appointment on any other day at (951) 659-1122. Email and donation opportunities are at www.idyllwildarf.org or e-mail arf@greencafe.com.

Leonardo is almost 2 years old. Always open to new friendships, Leonardo will bravely welcome any four-legged that walks through the door — be it canine, or feline. He knows no enemies, as he makes sure all the new orphans at ARF are accepted and safe. A sleek short haired grey, Leonardo, along with his siblings, lost his mom shortly after birth. One by one, his brothers were all adopted. He chose to pass it on, as Mr. Mom to Dawn and Dusk, who also lost their mom and were living under a house. Leonard is a one of a kind furry friend who is at his best consoling and loving other cats and dogs.
