Memorial services are pending for Mary Blackburn of Placentia, who died April 15 in Fullerton from heart failure as a result of a stroke. Mrs. Blackburn was a resident of Fullerton at the time of her death. She was 91.

Born November 12, 1906 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mrs. Blackburn was a long-time resident and business owner in Idyllwild. With Kathleen Thomas, she was co-owner of Alpine Pantry, Miss Pitty Pat’s Antiques and Chef in the Forest. Mrs. Blackburn was an Idyllwild resident from 1963 to 1993.

A widow, Mrs. Blackburn was also preceded in death by her son, James Blackburn.

She is survived by a brother, Cyril Blackburn, 87, of Escondido; a sister, Geraldine Blackburn, 81, of Winsor, Canada; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
