Idyllwild School Rocket Club members tested their equipment under the guidance of Jerry Coulter in March 1973. Interested members of the fifth through seventh grades formed the club to experiment with rockets, some building from kits and others from their own design. Most were amazed at their success and the height to which they soared. Shown are Ted Weverka, 19, and Kirby and Tim Moore, both 13, preparing their rockets for launching.
