Don and Mary Goodhue, former residents of Idyllwild, will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015.

Mary served as commander of American Legion Post 800 in 1983. Don was often spotted on his horse Misty in the back country of Idyllwild.

Don passed Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mary passed Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, in Edgewood, New Mexico.

Surviving are son Bill Goodhue of Riverside; daughter Teresa Goodhue of Los Lunas, New Mexico; daughter Donna Goodhue and her husband Robert Ruggiero of Edgewood, New Mexico; and grandson Christopher Ruggiero, also of Edgewood, New Mexico.

Preceding the couple in death was son Donald “Rocky” K. Goodhue Jr., formerly of Idyllwild, and grandson Peter Donald Goodhue-Ruggiero, formerly of Edgewood, New Mexico.
