Dora L. Pfnister, 92, of Idyllwild, died at her home on Thursday, April 19, 2001.

Miss Pfnister was born Nov. 12, 1908, in Bible Grove, Ill.

She was educated at Teachers College in Idaho and at Bible College, Angelus Temple, in Los Angeles.

During World War II, she worked as a riveter at the shipyards in Long Beach.

She came to Idyllwild in 1955 and worked at Desert Sun School for 17 years.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Idyllwild Community Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Kristeen Bandelin and the Rev. Mike Laramie both will officiate.

A potluck will follow the service in Fellowship Hall at the church.

Miss Pfnister is survived by two nephews, Paul Pfnister of Salem, Ore. and Johnny Pfnister of Rupert, Idaho; a niece, Naomi Pfnister of Salem, Ore.; and two cousins, Alan Pfnister and Helen Pfnister of Denver, Colo.
