Two vehicle crashes occurred on Hill roads over the last week. Both involved arrests for suspicion of driving under the influence.

At 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, Chloe Bahr, 19, of Oceanside, was driving her gray 2015 Toyota Corolla southbound on Highway 243, two-tenths of a mile north of the intersection with Highway 74, when she allowed her vehicle to drift off the roadway and strike an ascending embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over. One of three passengers in the vehicle required ambulance transport with minor injuries. Bahr was arrested at the scene for suspicion of DUI.

At 3:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, Korina McCollough, 31, of Ramona, was driving her gray 2001 Pontiac Aztec westbound on Highway 74 nine-tenths of a mile east of Ribbonwood Drive when she allowed her vehicle to drift into the brush. The vehicle was moderately damaged, and McCollough was arrested at the scene for suspicion of DUI. She was not injured and no other vehicles were involved.
