What happened to logic and common sense in our country?

We have 40,000 citizens in California who lost everything in the wildfires; tax-paying, contributing, members of our society.

We have several thousand people at our borders, many of whom have not respected or complied with our laws. They are forcefully trying to enter our home, the United States of America.

We are a country of immigrants who came here legally, in a democratic society that passed laws enabling us to become the greatest country on Earth.

We talk about taking care of others who are less fortunate?  Wonderful. That’s what makes us different and exceptional as a country.

Let’s get our priorities straight and help our fellow American brothers and sisters first.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and any other precious holiday you celebrate.

  • Sitting by the Fire: Prepare and be prepared …

It is never too early to prepare. Even though we are just now seeing the end of winter, it is time to start thinking about preparations for potential wildland fires and other disasters. Prior to this winter, we have had three years with either normal or above normal moisture. The winter of 2010-11 was well-above normal. Those normal or wet years have given most people a sense of false security because of the subsequent relatively inactive fire seasons.
