Water district meeting rescheduled

The regularly scheduled Lake Hemet Municipal Water District board of directors meeting, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 16, was canceled. The next regular board meeting is planned for 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the district office, 26385 Fairview Ave., Hemet.
The Idyllwild Fire Protection District has announced a special meeting for Tuesday, Jan. 7. The purpose of the special session is to discuss the District contract with Riverside County for emergency dispatch services. The contract between IFPD and the county expires on March 11. Friday at Idyllwild’s new library Jeff Stone, 3rd District Supervisor of Riverside County, gave Mountain Disaster Preparedness a satellite dish, which will help the community connect with people off the “Hill” in case of a disaster. It will also keep our community informed about what is happening below us. MDP gave Stone a badge as an honorary member of the organization.
