Forest Service prescribed burn near Idyllwild Transfer Station
The U.S. Forest Service conducted a prescribed burn near the Transfer Station on Saunders Meadow Road on Monday, March 5. Further burns will be limited by possible wind conditions in advance of incoming precipitation, according to Forest Service District Fire Chief Dan Felix.
New hours for Hemet USD office
In order to provide better access for working members of the public and more closely align with school site office hours, HUSD announced new office hours beginning January 5, 2015. Beginning that Monday, HUSD office hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

Earthquakes Quakes near Julian rattle Idyllwild
Several earthquakes shook Idyllwild on the morning of Monday, April 14. The USGS reported a magnitude 5.2 quake 4km south of Julian at 10:08 a.m. The largest after shock was M3 in the same location at 10:13.
