Betty Elaine Cole passed away Dec. 3, at the age of 86, in her home in Idyllwild.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald M. Cole Jr., in 2005. She is survived by her children, Sheryl (Chuck) Luker of Palmdale; Denise (John) Edmiston of Idyllwild; Diane (Ron) Hayes of Idyllwild; Michael (Judy) Cole of La Jolla; and Amanda (Randy) Gall of Huntington Beach. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 31 great-granchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Betty was born in Troy Mills, Iowa. She moved to California as a young child with her parents, Ryal and Myrtie Michael.

She lived in Idyllwild for the past five years. She previously lived in La Habra for almost 50 years.

Services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11.
