Paula Jean Fredericks, 64, of El Cajon, Calif., died Dec. 9, 2010 at Sharp Grossmont Hospital from pulmonary complications.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1946 to William and Mary Vowiell. She married James F. Harding in 1965. In 1968, she marriedher second husband, Robert A. Fredericks.

She worked for 13 years as a communications representative with Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego. She was a member of the Journey Community Church of La Mesa, Calif.

She is survived by son John P. Fredericks of Hemet; sister Diana V. Trunick of San Diego; granddaughters Gennessee Sandlin of Idyllwild and Sarah Fredericks of Michigan; one great grandson, Vincent Fredericks of Michigan; and an unborn grandson to be born in March 2011 of Idyllwild.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her former husbands; brother William A. Vowiell, who passed away on Aug. 2, 1981; and daughter Kelly Sandlin, who passed away on Nov. 19, 2000.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at Journey Community Church, 8363 Center Drive, La Mesa.

Her remains will be interred at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in San Diego.

She touched many lives and will be missed by many.
