LillyThe mountain suits her style, as Lilly is a shepherd/husky mix. She has lots of good energy and, of course, her favorite pastime is being in the outdoors. This 8-year-young girl is gentle on the leash and loves to walk and ride in the car. She also loves to play in the snow. Pleasing her human is always on top of the list. Lilly can shake, sit, stay and loves children, cats and other dogs. Bring your leash, because this girl won’t last long.
DukeDuke, the chow, is another snow lover. Also gentle on the leash, this 8-year-old’s energy will surprise you. Duke is friendly with other canines and loyal to his human. His favorite spot is next to you, awaiting your command. He will surely keep you warm this winter.
AnnieAnnie, the Chihuahua/min pin mix, is still patiently waiting for a home she can call her own. Missy, the Australian shepherd/pit mix, is so happy to be rescued, and wishes for a family to play fetch with. Bobbi, the applehead Chihuahua, and Riley, the shepherd mix, romp and play, hoping their turn is soon.
LeonardMeanwhile, in the cattery, Leonardo has decided he is in love. Just a teenager, Leonardo took on the responsibility of nurturing our two rescued kittens, Dusk and Dawn, who were recently adopted. Mr. Mom meowed for days in search of his little ones, until Miss Tara arrived on the scene. Quite the diva, she fluffed her calico tail and Leonardo was enchanted. Tara, being 5 years Taraold, has wisdom and patience, however. She is content to watch the world go by from her favorite window seat. And, Leonardo can only wish she would make room someday for him to join her.

It was those amazing eyes, Wally, and your charm that helped you wiggle right into your new owner’s arms. Paws up for Wally and his new digs. And it looks like Lily and Lulu are in their forever homes, too. So that leaves Mr. Archie all alone and wondering, “What about me?” Archie is learning…
Paws up to you, Lucy, in your new forever home. And our tiny Mrs. Beasley will be in her perfect home soon. Introducing the Mertzs. Fred on the left, and Ethel, bottom right. They were both found together and would love to be adopted together. Ethel is a bit younger than Fred, but they love…
Polly, our polydactyl has finally found her forever home. All six toes up to you Polly. And Boo, the Chiweenie didn’t take long to wiggle his way into the heart and arms of his new human.
It’s puppy love! Wrap your heart around this bundle of fur that was rescued from the streets of Idyllwild. Buster Brown is a 16-week-young boxer/pit mix. Along with puppy kisses upon request, this smart boy is already in clicker training class. His first report card is A+, as the basic commands were a piece of cake for him. He is learning leash rules, and is great with all other four-leggeds, cats and dogs.
Last week in Days of Our Nine Lives, ARF cats and dogs were celebrating “Adopt a Senior Pet” month. Bobbie: Everyone, gather around! I have news! Leia: Hold on, Bobbie. Let me get Tinkerbell and Pompeii. I don’t see them here. Bobbie: And I know why. That’s my news. Leia: Are you saying… Bobbie: I…
Reunited this week were Samson and Rosie to their very worried humans. Ladybug can be a lady most of the time. But bring out the football, Frisbee or anything that even looks like a toy, and she’s ready with all fours to play. She is a young shepherd/husky-mix who was abandoned at our dumpsite with…
This is the best Thanksgiving ever. Sally, our pittie that has been in foster care for almost four years to the date, has found her soul mate. The connection could only mean one thing for Sally. She waited for this and finally is home forever. The last kitten dropped off on the front porch is…
