At Saturday’s cross-counrty race at Mt. Carmel, the Hemet High School boys did very well. The Idyllwild contingent, all sophomores, display their medals. The runners and their places are Tanner Torrez (36), Jayden Emerson (6), Nick Browen (72) and Chad Schelly (44). Hemet was sixth overall out of 25 schools throughout Riverside and San Diego counties.
Emma Klingaman raced in Big Bear last weekend at the Kenda Cup finals. She won the Category 1 15-18 womens’ field. Next week, Emma will be competing in the state championships again in Big Bear.
Despite Alex Sanborn’s defensive back skills, the Hemet High School junior varsity football team lost 33-7 to the West Valley High School team last Thursday.
