Irene E. Samaniego-Greisen
Irene E Samaniego-Greisen, 61, of Idyllwild, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Kindred Hospital Riverside in Perris, Calif. She was the wife of Steve Greisen.

Irene was an active member of the Idyllwild Bible Church where she played the piano and was involved in the Awana’s and taught the cubbies age group. She was also involved in many other youth church groups in Idyllwild. In her younger years she played the piano at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif.

Irene was very family oriented and developed her own language at times when she referred to her children. Irene was a avid Raiders fan. Her family describes her as caring, religious, patient and intelligent. Irene was an excellent cook and made the best stuffing for Thanksgiving.

She is survived by her husband Steve Greisen, son Brian Samaniego, daughter Jennifer Maeser, brother Dale Bachman, sisters Carol Hinrichs and Barbara Hammerquist, and three grandchildren, Samayla, Ellesse and Matthew.

Services were held at the Idyllwild Bible Church at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 and were conducted by Pastor Tim Wescott. Interment will be private.
