Idyllwild School Girls close season with first loss

The Idyllwild School Girls basketball team lost their first game of the season yesterday. Noli School beat them 28-18 in the season ending game.
Coach Holly Guntermann was pleased with the 8-1 record and is looking forward to next year’s season.
After 6 to 12 inches of snow fell in Idyllwil overnight, the local fauna were unprepared but enjoyed the drought relief.
While the boulder that has closed Highway 243 between Pine Cove and Idyllwild since Sunday night maintains its position, Caltrans is making progress today. With a new drill for its hydraulic breaker, Caltrans is chipping away at the boulder and there is hope it can be moved late today — but no official announcement yet….
