The story time summer reading activities programs began Monday, July 9 for all youngsters from 2 years through 9 years, on the library deck. “Dream Big … Read” will be the summer’s theme.

The summer programs will continue at 10:30 a.m. on each of the three following Mondays, July 16, 23 and 30. These fun times will include reading, playing, singing, crafts and snacks. The Friends of the Idyllwild Library sponsor this summer program. Bonnie Doshier and Rachel Torrey are in charge of the events.

“Dream Big … Read” is the all-summer reading program in which prizes are earned for reading a designated number of books until the “grand prize” level is reached. This grand prize is awarded when 50 books have been completed. People can sign up at any point in the program.

For more information, contact the Idyllwild library at (951) 659-2300 during library hours.
