Lucas Dunn
Lucas Alan Dunn, beloved son of Al and Kathy and brother to Ian, Maureen and Jillian, passed away Friday, May 17, in Idyllwild, Calif. while rock climbing on Lily Rock.

Lucas was 21 and had just completed his last final for a history degree at California State University, San Marcos. He was celebrating his accomplishment by rock climbing, which is his passion.

He had been accepted into the International Study Aboard program where he was to double major in French. Lucas was to leave in August for Aix-en-Provence, France, and would wait to walk at graduation next year.

He attended Idyllwild school K-8th grade and graduated from Hemet High in 2009. He worked two summers at Camp Maranatha as camp staff and had been employed by Nomad Ventures since his senior year in high school.

He knew nothing but success and we could not be more proud of our son.

His memorial service will be 5 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Camp Maranatha, 54162 Maranatha Dr., Idyllwild. The service will be in the amphitheater and all are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to Camp Maranatha, P.O. Box 1736, Idyllwild, CA 92549, in his honor.
