The next Permaculture meeting (a subgroup of Idyllwild Conversations) will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Idyllwild Library. The topic is “Harvesting and Preserving Food in Idyllwild.” The meeting is free, and all are invited.
Town members joined with representatives from Mt. San Jacinto State Park, the U.S. Forest Service and the Idyllwild Fire Department in Remembering 9/11. Paul Reisman, superintendent of the state park, and Idyllwild Fire Chief Patrick Reitz alternated presenting 9/11 information and statistics. BBVD returns to Jazz in the Pines …
As the end of the 19th century approached, Strawberry Valley (“Idyllwild” didn’t officially exist until 1901) was a far different place from anything we can readily picture today.
The annual 5K & 10K Fitness Run and Walk is again scheduled for the first Saturday in June and the course, through Idyllwild County Park, is unchanged.
