The Art Alliance of Idyllwild concluded another very successful year, said President Gary Kuscher. “The 2013 Art Walk and Wine Tasting was outstanding. I’m very happy with the results,” he said.

Once again, the event established record attendance, Kuscher gushed. “It was sold out and everything went smoothly.” He said AAI purchased 1,224 wine glasses.

Seventeen wineries participated this year. Kuscher hopes to add at least five more for the 2014 event.

Revenue will enhance the Alliance’s public art program. Later this year, AAI will hold a meeting to develop plans for its efforts next year. The “deer herd” scattered throughout town and Pine Cove was the current year’s major public art offering.

Artist and inventor repays HELP Center

A resident of a Pine Cove mansion for years, Analia Lenchantin has considerable experience trying to ignite a fire in large — 4-foot fireplaces. Now she has the “Cito,” meaning “heart,” to help you get those stubborn fires burning — a long metal tube to blow into and direct the air to the ebbing fire, which will aid in ignition.
