Brendan Steele came up two strokes too many at the Pebble Beach Tournament last week, missing the three-day cut. He dropped from 45th to 50th place on the FedExCup points list.

This week the Idyllwild native tees it up for the fifth consecutive week, this time at the $6.7 million Northern Trust Open on the Riviera Country Club course in Pacific Palisades.
