Slated this week in our library are:
From noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, Julie Johnson hosts Teen Book Club for Homeschoolers. For more information call 659-9793.
Also Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m., and again on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to noon, the library staff provides quick answers to basic computer questions. Call 951-659-2300 if you need to schedule extended time for your questions. (The library staff is always ready to help you use the library’s bank of public computers.)
Also on Thursday, June 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., a formal reading occurs of “Fire Stories,” recounted by community members regarding their experiences during the Mountain and Silver fires of 2013.
From noon to 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, Inlandia Writer’s Workshop focuses on peer review writing. Bring your manuscript for informal peer discussion. Writing prompts also will be provided to take home and bring back for the next session. Contact Jean Waggoner at the library.
From 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7, the Stratford Players will hold public auditions for their upcoming play, “Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike,” by Christopher Durang.
Also on Saturday, from 2:30 to 3 p.m., in Unclaimed Property 101, Aaron Monroe instructs on the most effective way to search and find unclaimed property that may be due you or your family from the federal, state or local governments.
From 10 a.m. to noon Monday, June 9, the Forest Folk Cribbage Group meets for weekly fun and games. All adults are welcome.
Again on Monday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., the library hosts children’s story time, where preschoolers and children of all ages are entertained by our library’s talented storytellers with an associated craft. This week’s theme is “Father’s Day.”
From 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, Aida teaches beginning and accelerated English classes. Classes are designed for any non-English speaking person to learn or to improve their English. All are welcome.
On Wednesday, June 11, from 2 p.m. on, the Fireside Book Club will discuss its recent reading, “The Goldfinch,” by Donna Tartt. All interested readers are welcome.
