In September, the Forest Service carried out its long planned foray against the expanding tamarisk in Pinyon and Palm Canyon. Kate Kramer, Forest Servcie biologist, who did the planning, led the team which Outward Bound kids also joined in the tamarisk assault. Town Hall Volunteer and Santa Prasad Peebles helps Ashenara Pilkington and the rest of the Town Hall kids with a tour of the IFPD ambulance. The kids received a tour of IFPD as part of a Town Hall field trip Tuesday to deliver toys to the “Spark of Love” toy drive conducted by Southern California Firefighters and sponsored by ABC News TV.
