Sharon Selby Mahoney
Sharon Selby Mahoney, 51, was born Sept. 20, 1963, and raised in Poway, spending most of her life in the North County area. She died Friday, Jan. 9.

She raised her children in North County, as well as took care of her niece and nephew when they were young. She studied nursing at Palomar College, becoming an LVN.

She loved riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with her family as much as possible. She was an avid dog lover and guardian of four dogs.

She leaves behind her father, Gerald Selby of Pinyon Pines, and her mother, Pat Selby, of Oneonta, Alabama; her brother, Jim (Gayle) and sister Carolyn (Lewis); three nieces, three nephews, five children and three grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, any donations to the care of her dogs Sasha and Whuppie can be made to the Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 391988, Anza, CA 92539.
