Forest Service conducting burns in Idyllwild

The U.S. forest Service was conducting pile burning along the West Ridge Fuelbreak Thursday, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions. The “Burn Boss” was Brett Pascale of the Vista Grande Hotshots, according to San Jacinto Ranger District Fire Chief Dan Felix.
As of Wednesday morning, about 80 percent of the expected ballots from yesterday’s primary election have been counted. The Riverside County Registrar of Voters has announced that there are about 40,000 more ballots to count, but further results will not be released until Thursday evening.
